Moore TEA Citizens Annual Picnic!

Plan to come to our Moore Tea Citizens picnic on Saturday, August 13th – 12 – 3, Cannon Park, Pinehurst. We’re calling it “We Ain’t Goin’ Away”. The founder and head of Tea Party Nation, Judson Phillips, will be keynoting, and we’ll have the writer and producer of “We Ain’t Goin’ Away”, Bruce Bellott, on hand as well. Ben Franklin is stopping by for the picnic, along with many TEA leaders and members from here and across the state.

Cut, Cap and Balance PLEDGE

Despite our nation’s staggering $14.4 trillion debt, there are many in the Obama Administration and Congress who want to raise our nation’s debt limit without any spending cuts or reforms.

We believe that this is a fiscally irresponsible position that would place America on the Road to Ruin. At the same time, we believe that the current debate over raising the debt limit provides a historic opportunity to focus public attention, and then public policy, on a path to a balanced budget and paying down our debt.

We believe that the “Cut, Cap, Balance” plan for substantial spending cuts in FY 2012, a statutory spending cap, and Congressional passage of a Balanced Budget Amendment to the Constitution is the minimum necessary precondition to raising the debt limit. The ultimate goal is to get us back to a point where increases in the debt limit are no longer necessary.

If you agree, take the Cut, Cap, Balance Pledge! There are versions for elected officials, federal candidates and ordinary citizens.

THE PLEDGE

I pledge to urge my Senators and Member of the House of Representatives to oppose any debt limit increase unless all three of the following conditions have been met:
1.Cut – Substantial cuts in spending that will reduce the deficit next year and thereafter.
2.Cap – Enforceable spending caps that will put federal spending on a path to a balanced budget.
3.Balance – Congressional passage of a Balanced Budget Amendment to the U.S. Constitution — but only if it includes both a spending limitation and a super-majority for raising taxes, in addition to balancing revenues and expenses.

Please consider joining Moore TEA Citizens!

We invite you to come to our next monthly members’ meeting. It’s scheduled for Monday evening, June 6, at 5:30 P.M. We’ll meet at Russell’s Seafood and Southern Buffet for dinner, socializing, and business. Russell’s is located at 1405 Central Dr. (NC Hwy. 22), Southern Pines. They close the restaurant to the public, and Moore Tea has it all to ourselves. They give us a special price on a buffet dinner, and it’s always been good!

We’re going to be showing the movie “The Agenda” on Saturday, June 11, at the Pinehurst Village Hall from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The Village Hall is located at 395 Magnolia Road in Pinehurst. The movie is an excellent documentary about the history of the progressive socialist/communist movement in the United States and how they have been working to transform our country by transforming our society and culture.

Then join us or be a spectator at the annual Carthage 4th of July parade. Moore Tea Citizens will be participating in the parade, and we always make a fine showing. There will be an enactment, and the parade will travel along Oak Street in Carthage. It all begins at 11:00 am.

Finally, mark your calendar for Saturday, August 13th our the annual Moore Tea Citizens picnic to be held at Cannon Park in Pinehurst. Bruce Bellott, the nationally known performer will lead us in his anthem “We Ain’t Goin’ Away!”. There will be speakers, activities, and lots of great fellowship with like-minded patriots.

HE’S GONE! GONE! NEVER FORGOTTEN – MAY HE NEVER REST IN PEACE!

We are united as a nation and the world cheers as well in celebrating a heroic action that brought down an unspeakable, evil terrorist leader.

Osama Bin Laden is dead.

The message from the Moore County Republican Chairman, Bob Levy, is printed below.

Moore County Republicans join our President in cheering our victory over terrorism. But, our greatest admiration goes to our Joint Special Operations Command from Fort Bragg and Pope Air Base. The killing of Osama Bin Laden was a military victory, not a political one. Congratulations needs to go where our brave soldiers went. JSOC is truly an organization of heroes.

With every great event, politicians try to use that event for their own glory. But here in Moore County, we know that praise needs to be reserved for those special forces who answered our country’s call and risked their lives for our freedom. Both Republicans and Democrats must jointly cheer the success of our military and our President. But our greatest love and respect goes to those soldiers who are our Moore County neighbors, friends and heroes.
