Folks, it could not have been much better! Sixteen of us traveling MOORE TEA CITIZENS went to Raleigh and met with the representatives of Senator Hagan and Representatives Etheridge, Miller and Price. The receptions were good – they are all liberals, after all, and perhaps not entirely thrilled to see us.
We talked over Heath Care and Cap & Trade and went over our positions with them. In writing we have good points and many suggestions for what would work better than what Washington is doing to us. Those two documents will be posted on our blog very soon – stay tuned!
We left our new flyer too, and copies of Common Sense Revisited. And we said we’ll be watching.
In our lunch following, we debriefed, and the enthusiasm for what we did and how it was received was gratifying and encouraging.
We’ll do more, MOORE TEA CITIZENS. We are on the march, and we believe people are listening.
Thanks to all who traveled, and to those of you who could not go but were with us in spirit – we appreciated it and knew you were with us all the way!
Stay tuned, stay in touch, and keep in touch with DC! Use house.gov and senate.gov as best websites to reach their offices in Washington. They need to know we care and are deeply concerned.
WE’RE MAD AS HELL AND WE’RE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANY MORE!
